- Information about new wool & Lyocell: Pure new wool always comes from the shearing of living sheep. It is elastic, keeps its shape and is not susceptible to creasing. The yarn is highly insulating and can absorb up to 33% of its own weight in moisture without feeling damp. Lyocell is an industrially produced fibre made from cellulose, i.e. from natural raw materials. The fibre has an exceptionally smooth surface with a silky feel, warms almost as well as sheep's wool, cools similarly to linen and is more absorbent than cotton.
