Information about virgin wool & mohair: Pure virgin wool always comes from the shearing of a live sheep. It is elastic, retains its shape, and is resistant to wrinkling. The yarn is highly insulating and can absorb up to 33% of its own weight in moisture without feeling damp. Mohair is the hair of the Angora goat. This natural fiber is the lightest textile fiber by weight and therefore very precious. Its fleece is very dense and long, flat-wavy, and shiny. Its properties are very similar to those of sheep's wool, but the surface is much smoother and shinier, resulting in low felting capacity.
